Mengle Cultural Garden is a multi-element scenery spot tends to demonstrate history, culture and ethnic folks of Xishuang Banna, and to increase the awareness of primate animals. The Garden is located in the territory of the remains left by the Royal Thai Palace, hosting Mengle Museum, Mengle Ethnic Folks Park, Remains of Royal Thai Palace and a place accessible for the rare species of monkeys once living in the tropical forest. The native water splashing activity – Holy Water Blessing, together with Mengle Museum, Mengle Ethnic Folks Park offers an access to the history, culture and colourful folks enriched in Xishuang Banna. Cultural relics such as remains of Royal Thai Palace, “Dong” pagoda, pagoda “Mu” tomb, holy spring, ancient battle ditch and holy tress are beloved and honoured by Thai people and are well known across South East Asia. Among them Royal Thai Palace stands out for its long history, vital political and religious impact. In the Garden, there lives more than twenty species of primate animals such as rare white monkey, mini marmoset and gibbon. The awareness of the primate animals will be increased among audience in a vivid way when these lovely creatures appeal to them.
