Pipal, a plant of Ficus morum mulberry，is one of the “Five Trees, Six Flowers” in Buddhist faith. The founder of Buddhism, Sakyamuni has a close relationship with pipal in His birth, servanthood, devotion, reincarnation and evangelism. The Thai people, who place their faithfullness in Hinayana, take the pipal as a “Sacred Tree” and give their prayer and worship whenever they come across this ancient, huge and sacred tree, trying to keep any offense away from it.
